Tony Pulis admitted his frustration Albion were unable to collect all three points against West Ham.
The Baggies battled back from a disappointing first half where Mauro Zarate excellent free kick gave the Hammers a deserved first half lead.
Pulis changed things around after the break and introduced Rickie Lambert as a second half substitute as the Baggies adopted a traditional 4-4-2 formation.
The switch transformed the Baggies and Lambert’s deflected volley levelled terms for the Baggies.
Salomon Rondon then saw a point blank header saved before James Morrison and James McClean twice missed chances to put Albion ahead.
“I thought we started quite well but that free-kick – a soft award in my view – really knocked us back and we went flat,” Pulis said.
“We needed to get them in and dust them down, get them re-focused. We were the better team after the break and I am little disappointed we haven’t won it. That was a brilliant save by Adrian which kept out Rondon’s header and if James McClean was a little calmer at the end he could have passed that chance into the net.”
