Tony Pulis insists Albion are working hard to make new signings ahead of the start of the season.
The Albion boss was speaking after the Baggies comfortably beat Swindon Town 4-1 in a pre-season friendly with a James Morrison double joined by goals from Victor Anichebe and Stephane Sessegnon.
Pulis admits are in need of new recruits – especially in the forward line – but believes nothing more could be done at present to add to Albion’s squad.
“We’re working hard behind the scenes and we’re waiting for things to drop. We’ve still got six weeks,” he said.
“Am I happy? Yes. I am happy that the club are doing their damnedest to try to get players
"The big difference is that I am not happy just signing any player, we’re trying to bring players in that will improve us and make a difference.
"That’s the difference between signing players and signing good players.”
