Tony Pulis hailed his side’s effort as the Baggies drew 2-2 with title chasing Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
The Baggies took the lead against the Foxes when Salomon Rondon ran on to Darren Fletcher’s excellent pass and slotted home.
Leicester equalised when a fortunate deflection looped over Ben Foster. The Foxes then took the lead in injury time when Andy King swept home from close range.
But Albion fought back when Craig Gardner curled home a sublime 20-yard free kick from the edge of the area.
“It was a great, great team performance,” said Pulis.
“The boys have worked incredibly hard out there and defended with their lives, as they had to at times.
“But we also showed quality and a threat going forward and had our chances to nick another goal.
“I don’t think people realise how difficult it is to play a second game so close together away from home. It’s hard to get the lads ‘up’ again and get them at it so quickly without home advantage.
“So I’m really pleased with what we’ve done against a very good team who I hope will go on to win the Championship.”
