The centre-back signed for the Baggies on a three year deal having failed to secure a permanent place in Steve Bruce's squad since the Blues return to the top flight two seasons ago.
“I started off the first 20 or so games the season Blues got promoted but then I got injured and Steve Bruce signed Matthew Upson," he told the Baggies official website.
“It’s been a hard slog from then on really with Matt and Kenny (Cunningham)doing so well. It was difficult to get back into the side.
“But now I’m looking forward and I’ve probably got the best years of my career ahead of me.
“Every person Gary Megson sends out onto the football pitch gives 110 per cent and I’m no different.
“All I want to do when I go out onto the pitch is win and I want to keep West Brom up.”
