Baggies new boy Salomon Rondon scored his first goal in the Premier League and then told Albion fans to expect more of the same.
The striker headed home Rickie Lambert's cross in the first half to give Albion their first win of the season at Stoke City.
Former Potters boss Pulis was given a rousing reception on his return to the Brittania Stadium.
Stoke were in giving mood as Ibrahim Afellay and Charlie Adam were both sent off in the first half before Rondon's header.
“I am very happy to score my first goal for Albion,” said Rondon.
“It was a big goal because it gave us the victory and our first three points of the season.
“Stoke are a difficult team so to beat them is pleasing.
“I am settling in well, England is very good.
“The Premier League is very tough so I know I have to work hard.
“I am pleased to score my first goal and hopefully I can score many more.”
