Tony Pulis again saw the Baggies waste chances in front of goal as the Baggies signed off the season with a 1-1 draw against a much changed Liverpool side.
Salomon Rondon scored his 10th goal of the season after good work from Jonathan Leko in the first half.
But Jordon Ibe’s solo effort levelled the scores before the break meaning Albion ended the season with just one victory from ten games.
"We had enough chances in the second half to win the game. I thought we got really sloppy in the last 20 minutes of the first half, stood off them,” said the Baggies Head Coach.
"Their goal was a poor goal to concede. He has ran half the length of the pitch without anyone laying a glove on him. That was disappointing.
"But, overall, the lads again worked really hard, created better chances, opportunities and had more corners than Liverpool did in the second half but we need to put those chances away."
When asked about the season as a whole, Pulis claimed the Baggies have had a good campaign, despite the end of season slump.
“I think we could have had more points than that, I think we deserved more points.
"It's such a thin line between winning and losing games. It's a great point obviously against Liverpool. Again, I'm just disappointed with the opportunities and chances created that we didn't win the game of football.
"We need to improve in lots of areas and, with the extra revenue coming in, we'll do our best to get the players in that we need. The club and team does need just that little bit more.
"The great thing is - we're still in the Premier League. And if you look around this area, we're the only ones in it."
