Jimmy Shan has revealed he has been guaranteed a role at The Hawthorns next season.
Shan's temporary spell in charge of the Baggies ended with penalty shootout heartbreak in the play-offs.
The Birmingham born coach had no first team managerial experience before replacing Darren Moore back in March.
But he lost just four of his 12 games in charge of the Baggies and has been assured a position within the club next season - although the role will be decided upon the appointment of a new head coach.
"I've had assurances from the powers that be that there will be a coaching role for me in some capacity," Shan told reporters.
"It's a case of getting the next 24 or 48 hours out of the way and seeing if there's any further discussions."
