Sherjill MacDonald has completed his switch to Belgium outfit Germinal Beerschot for a fee of £650,000 after the paperwork for the former Dutch Under-21 striker was rubber stamped.
The former Anderlecht youngster joined the Baggies from AGOVV Apeldoorn in the 2007 January transfer window and signed permanently at The Hawthorns a year after a 12-month loan spell.
It’s believed Albion paid a total of £520,000 for the forward’s services and have inserted a 15% add-on clause into his new contract.
MacDonald, who failed to start a competitive game or score for the Baggies, made a total of 32 appearances from the subs’ bench. However, the forward was far more prolific lower down the leagues smashing six goals in seven games during a loan spell at Hereford.
