Saido Berahino has been banned from driving for 12 months after being found guilty of drink driving.
The 21 year old hotshot was found to be over the legal driving limit when he was stopped by Greater Manchester police in Cheshire early in the morning last October.
Along with the ban, Berahino was given a £3,400 fine.
Berahino was due to be in court on Monday – hours before Albion’s game against Everton. However, his court date was moved forward allowing him to now be available for selection to the trip to Goodison.
Albion boss Tony Pulis, claimed Berahino’s conviction is part of a learning curve for the youngster.
“Saido is a young lad. He has scored some goals, he’s had good periods and then he has dipped and that’s what young players do,” he said.
“So to put all the pressure on Saido and say he is going to be ‘The One’ is wrong.
“He is part of a group and part of a group that we hope will pull us through but he is still a young lad and he has still got a lot of learning to do.”
