Albion are in talks with Dubai-based club Al Nasr over a potential transfer for Peter Odemwingie.
The Baggies have already rejected a £850,000 offer for the wantaway striker and it’s now being reported that a fresh £1.5m deal has been offered.
Club officials deny that a new offer has been submitted but have revealed that discussions are ongoing over a deal for the Nigerian.
Odemwingie is widely expected to leave The Hawthorns this season and has been training with Albion’s youngsters during pre-season.
Crystal Palace and Cardiff have both been linked with a move for the striker, but have yet to submit a formal bid.
Albion value the Nigerian at around £2m but could be persuaded to accept a lower offer to end the long-running transfer saga.
