Third Fulham bid rejected for Jonno

Fulham have today had another bid rejected for Albion skipper, Jonathan Greening – believed to be in the region of £4 million.  The Cottages have previously had offers of £2 million plus a player deal and a straight £3.25 million offer turned down by the club as Jeremy Peace digs his heals in for his valuation of the former Manchester United and Middlesbrough man.

Despite handing in an official transfer request prior to jetting out to Slovenia, Greening has assured Roberto Di Matteo and the club’s hierarchy he won’t ‘rock the boat’ and try and engineer a move away from the Black Country.

In fact Greening has been offered a new four-year contract at the club in a bid to keep the inspirational skipper for next season’s assault on the Championship.  The 30-year-old has a year, plus a further year in the club’s favour, left on his current deal.
