Tony Mowbray feels West Brom would be able to "hold our own" in the Premiership if they win promotion from the Championship this season. The Baggies have slipped down to sixth place after bagging just two points from a possible 15 in their last five games. But Mowbray refuses to change his attacking style of play as he feels it is better suited to the top flight in England - and would help Albion establish themselves as a Premiership club having been relegated last season. Since Mowbray left Hibernian to take over from Bryan Robson at The Hawthorns, he has transformed Albion into the league's highest scorers with an impressive 66 goals in 39 games. The likes of Kevin Phillips, Jason Koumas and Diomansy Kamara have shone under the manager's guidance.
Mowbray said: "I genuinely believe that if we can get out of this division I don't think we'd struggle in the Premier League, I think we will compete and more than hold our own. The way we play the game is more suited to the Premier League than the Championship and, if someone wanted to aim a criticism at us, it might be that we're playing the right way to try and get out of this league, which is why I think we've had a few inconsistencies recently. If we go into the Premier League, retaining the ball as well as we do and being as patient as we are, then I would suggest we wouldn't necessarily struggle in the Premier League."
