Mbaye Diagne scored his first Premier League goal for the Baggies but missed two golden opportunities in Albion's 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
The big centre forward powered a header from close range inside the first two minutes to open his account for The Throstles.
United scored on the stroke of half time when Bruno Fernandes scored a left foot volley after a period of United pressure.
Albion defended well after the break with United pushing for a second with Diagne guilty of missing two chances.
The first came after he muscled Harry Maguire aside but saw his shot saved by David De Gea. It seemed easier to score the rebound but somehow the keeper beat Diagne to the ball.
Then with only minutes remaining, Darnell Furlong's excellent cross saw the Senegal striker fire over from close range.
