Albion were left frustrated after a battling Millwall side earned a 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns.
The point was enough for Albion to go back to the top of the Championship despite Karlon Grant missing a penalty on the stroke of half time.
After a very disappointing opening 45 minutes, Albion needed just four minutes of the second half to take the lead.
A trademark Connor Townsend cross found Kyle Bartley who looped a wonderful header into the top corner.
But Albion were unable to build on their lead and Millwall equalised six minutes later when Danny Ballard found space at the back post to loop his own effort into Sam Johnstone's net.
