Gareth McAuley made history as he scored Northern Ireland's first ever goal in the European Championships during his country's 2-0 win over Ukraine.
McAuley and fellow Albion defender Jonny Evans were again superb in the heart of Northern Ireland's backline as the pair helped record a first win the in Euros - and within touching distance or qualifying for the second round.
But the news was not so good for James McClean or James Chester. Defender Chester impressed for Wales against England but was unable to stop the Three Lions scoring an injury time winner to win the 'Battle of Britain' 2-1.
McClean again came on a substitute for Ireland but was unable to prevent Martin O'Neill's men suffer a heavy 3-0 defeat against Belgium.
