Albion managed to avoid losing three times in a week but could only draw 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers.
Craig Dawson gave Albion the lead just before the break but the Baggies again failed to keep a clean sheet after Harrison Reed curled a long-range effort in for Rovers.
Here's WBA-MAD's player ratings:
Sam Johnstone: Made a couple of routines saves but didn't really have that much to do. No chance with Reed's excellent curling effort. 6/10.
Kyle Bartley: Looks completely devoid of any confidence. Playing others in to trouble, shouting at team mates and again causing errors that led to a goal. Needs to be dropped. 4/10.
Craig Dawson: Much better from Dawson. Looked more assured in the middle. Some wayward passes, but made up for it with a goal. 6/10.
Tosin Adarabioyo: More assured than Wednesday and won some important headers. 6/10.
Matt Philiips: Tried to get Albion moving but was kept quiet by Rovers' doubling up. 6/10.
Connor Townsend: Another who worked hard and tried to get forward where possible. Not as effective as Gibbs in either attack or defence. 6/10.
James Morrison: A welcome return to Albion's midfielder. Played in the deeper and more advanced roles in different halfs. Cool in possesion but a little rusty in his first start of the season. 6/10.
Jake Livermore: Missed in midweek and imposed himself on the game first half. But faded after the break during a time when Albion needed his drive from midfield. 6/10.
Harvey Barnes: Albion's invisible man. Showed the odd glimpse of quality but needs to do more when he hasn't got the ball. Needs to add a cuter side to his game when trying to make space. 5/10.
Bakary Sako: Looked really rusty and desperately short of match fitness. Didn't offer much going forward. 6/10.
Jay Rodriguez: Missed two early sitters when it seemed earlier to score. Again worked hard but is lacking an end product at the moment. 6/10.
SUBS
Wes Hoolahan: Game actually swung Rovers way he was brought on and Albion's shape changed. Failed to make any impact. 5/10.
Chris Brunt: Tried to bring Albion into life and linked the midfield and fowards well when he came on. 6/10.
Hal Robson-Kanu: Who do you bring on when you are chasing a last minute winner? Not Robson-Kanu. 5/10.
