New Zealand international Chris Wood has joined Bristol City on a youth loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old joins former Albion midfielder Derek McInnes at Ashton Gate, fresh from his loan spell at neighbours Birmingham City.
The Kiwi gained valuable experience at St Andrews and netted ten times in 14 starts, plus 14 appearances from the bench. He also tasted European football and memorably scored a 98th minute winner at Bruges.
Albion have the right to recall the forward after 28 days.
Meanwhile, Saido Berahino, another young forward, has penned a new contract at The Hawthorns after impressing whilst on loan at Northampton. The 18-year-old has scored five times in 11 starts and has signed a new two-and-a-half year deal, plus a year in the club’s favour.
