Max Melbourne will continue his football education north of the border after signing for Partick Thistle on loan until January.
The 19-year-old recently signed a new deal at the club to committ his future with the Baggies until 2020.
But he will again head to Scotland in search of first team football after featuring six times for Ross County last season.
Melbourne has been at the Baggies for ten years progressing through the different age groups and featured for the first team in this season's pre-season fixtures.
It is unclear whether there is the option to extend the youngster's loan contract when the transfer window opens again in January.
