Albion's winless start to the season continued as the Baggies were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw by Cardiff at The Hawthorns.
On the back of their first defeat of the season at Blackburn, Steve Bruce made one change with Okay Yokuslu making his first start after rejoining the club in the summer.
Albion started brightly enough as they pushed for an opener with Jake Livermore stinging the palms of for Baggies youth player Ryan Allsop.
Conor Townsend headed over at the back post before Jed Wallace went close to his first Albion goal before the break.
But, just like last season, Albion struggled to find any creativity to break down a Cardiff side who were happy to settle for a draw.
Jason Molumby, Matt Phillips and Callum Robinson were all called off the bench to try and find a winner. However Albion remain winless in the Championship and had to settle for a third draw in four games.
