Albion were denied a first win of the season after Ismaila Sarr’s wonder strike saw Watford draw 1-1 at The Hawthorns.
The Baggies were excellent throughout but couldn't find a way past Watford goalkeeper Dan Bachmann.
In Albion's first home game of the season, it was Sarr who stole the headlines as he fired Watford ahead with a shot from inside his own half that caught David Button off his line in the 12th minute.
But it was not long before the hosts were level when Karlon Grant did well to collect Grady Diangana's clever through ball to curle home a close-range effort into the top corner.
The Baggies were pressing Watford all over the pitch and seemed the likely side to add a third goal on the evening.
However Sarr went from hero to villian when he missed a penalty for the visitors in the 70th minute after being tripped by Semi Ajayi.
